Help Us “Keep Kids Connected”
The GOT Kids Foundation asks you to support the children in our community while they are home during this global health crisis.
Children are not able to have their regular connections with adults at school or interact in person with their friends. They are now more than ever at risk for depression, anxiety, self-doubt, and loneliness. In addition, many children do not have basic supplies to keep them engaged at home such as crayons, paper, pencils, and books, all of which can be the source of entertainment, engagement, and education.
Since the beginning of distance learning in March, 2020 due to COVID-19, GOT Kids has given out 200 books, 2,000 student supply bags and 500 Highlights magazines. In December, 2020 and with funding from the City of Stockton’s Community Support grant, GOT Kids handed out over 5,000 activity items included a glow-in-the-dark sports flyer, exercise band and foam basketball to children attending LodiUSD schools in Stockton. Each student also received a water bottle .
With funds donated by community businesses and individuals, the Lodi Tokay Rotary Club and Michael David Family Foundation, over 5,000 items will soon be distributed to children attending LodiUSD schools in Lodi, Acampo, Victor and Lockeford.
We hope you will join the effort to support our children while they are at home. All donations will be used to give children supplies and activities to help them get through this challenging time.
